Using high-resolution eDNA monitoring, we are recording the consequences of the Oder disaster on all aquatic organism groups in the river and in floodplain waters. One focus is on organisms that are particularly sensitive to Prymnesium parvum. We are determining how the fish population and macrozoobenthos colonisation developed after the disaster and are investigating the refuge function of the floodplain waters for fish in the Oder.
